Temperature Mapping

Measure temperature between two surfaces using a thin, flexible sensor. The captured data, combined with advanced analysis tools, provides valuable insights to improve product design, manufacturing processes, quality control, and research.

Introducing Temperature Mapping, powered by I-Scan™

Tekscan’s I-Scan™ platform now features a thin-film temperature mapping capability, enabling detailed measurement of temperature distribution across surfaces—or between two surfaces where thermal cameras can’t reach.

This innovative solution combines I-Scan software and electronics with a thin, flexible temperature sensor to provide precise, high-resolution thermal analysis in an easy-to-use format. The sensor is trimmable to fit your needs and can be used alone or, depending on the package, paired with a Tekscan pressure mapping sensor. This allows simultaneous collection of thermal and pressure data for deeper insights into product performance and process optimization.

Key Benefits

Measure Where Thermal Cameras Can’t
Accurately capture temperature in moving parts, enclosed spaces, and multi-layer materials — even inside sealed machinery and rotating rollers where infrared cameras fail. Whether working with enclosed equipment, rotating components, or layered assemblies, Tekscan’s temperature sensing system provides real-time, spatial insight into thermal behavior.

Not Sensitive to Emissivity
Unlike infrared cameras that require emissivity adjustments, these temperature mapping sensors offer precise, direct-contact measurements regardless of material properties.

Visualize Thermal Propagation
Track how heat moves through surfaces and identify critical areas for optimization in product design, material selection, and process control.

Comprehensive Data Insights
Capture high-resolution, real-time temperature distribution for detailed thermal analysis.

Streamline Data Collection
Replace the complexity of multiple thermocouples with a single, trimmable sensor containing up to 192 sensing points.

Correlate Pressure & Temperature
Combine with I-Scan Pressure Mapping to reveal crucial relationships between pressure and temperature that impact product performance and reliability.

Seamless Integration with I-Scan
Fully compatible with the I-Scan 9.5 platform, making it easy to adopt for users already familiar with Tekscan pressure mapping technology.
