ELE advanced One-Dimensional Consolidation Test System, also known as the oedometer or incremental loading oedometer test, is specifically designed to optimize testing procedures in geotechnical laboratories.
This widely-used method measures the compression behavior of soil samples under a series of controlled loading conditions. During the test, radially constrained samples are subjected to incremental loading, starting near the sample’s overburden pressure. Each subsequent load is typically doubled over 4 to 5 stages, followed by a final unloading phase.
